The English for Academic Study (EAS) is an intensive English programme that allows students to improve their English in the areas of: Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing.
The courses offered are dependent on the student’s English ability, they are:
- English for Academic Study – 9 months
- Certificate in English for Academic Study (Elementary) – 3 months
- Certificate in English for Academic Study (Intermediate) – 3 months
- Certificate in English for Academic Study (Advanced) – 3 months
All EAS weekly tests and end of term examinations are designed in a similar format as that of the “IELTS” examination. A student must pass the school’s end of term examinations in order to progress from one programme to another.
To successfully enrol to the EAS programme, the applicant must meet the following requirements:
One of the benefits of studying at Insworld Institute is that the school offers a “Multicultural Environment” that is comprised of English-speaking staff and students. This type of environment allows students to learn, practice and continuously enhance their English skills and knowledge as they use the language for every school activity on a daily basis.
English is also widely used throughout Singapore. Being an English-speaking society, the language is often used for relaying instructions within schools or carrying out transactions among businesses. For this reason, engaging in English conversations in Singapore is most common indeed.
First of all, Insworld Institute provides a team of educators who are not only trained and qualified, but are also responsible and caring. This ensures that each student receives quality education from the school and “individual attention” from its teachers.
The quality of education is also ensured by having students study in a small class size of 4 – 12 students. This format promotes “personalized learning” as it allows each student to actively engage in class discussions and have his / her individual needs or concerns promptly addressed by teachers (e.g., if the student requires clarifications).
Students are also required to attend classes for a minimum of twenty (20) hours per week – which allows “academic progression” in a cost effective and time efficient manner.
